Carnifeed® and Carniking® L - Carnitine: premium ingredients for companion and production animal formulations

L-carnitine is an essential component in energy metabolism, transporting long chain fatty acids into the mitochondria — the cell’s ‘powerhouse’- where fat is converted into energy. Furthermore, as animals age, their appetite decreases, meaning that they ingest less of this essential nutrient naturally through food, thus requiring supplementation.

The L-carnitine used in Carnifeed® is manufactured through a chemical synthesis process, resulting in highly soluble 100% L-form. Both products are available in a dry format for supplement manufacturers in the animal feed market.

Our Carniking® L-carnitine ingredient, available in dry form, is a special grade of L-carnitine formulated on silica that is scientifically studied to support active, aging, and overweight dogs and cats.
